Keeping Our Parks Clean and Well-Maintained

Our parks, trails, and public spaces are an important part of the quality of life we enjoy here in Atascadero. I will work to ensure these community assets remain clean, safe, accessible, and well-maintained for residents of all ages. As our community grows, we need to take care of the parks and recreational facilities we already have while planning responsibly for the future. I believe maintaining the basics and taking pride in our public spaces are fundamental responsibilities of local government.

Investing in Public Safety and Our First Responders

Keeping Atascadero safe will always be one of my highest priorities. I will support the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and first responders who protect our community every day by making sure they have the staffing, equipment, and resources they need to do their jobs effectively. That also means strengthening wildfire preparedness and ensuring our emergency services keep pace with the needs of our community. On the City Council, I will always put the safety of Atascadero residents and neighborhoods first.

Fixing Our Roads and Filling Potholes

Atascadero residents pay taxes with the reasonable expectation that City Hall will deliver the basic services we rely on every day, and that starts with safe, well-maintained roads. I will prioritize infrastructure dollars for repaving our streets, repairing deteriorating roads, filling potholes, and addressing problems before they become more expensive to fix. I will push for responsible long-term planning that focuses taxpayer dollars on essential infrastructure and delivers visible results in neighborhoods throughout Atascadero.

Supporting Small Businesses and Economic Development

Small businesses are the backbone of Atascadero’s economy and an important part of what makes our community special. I believe City Hall should be a partner to local businesses, not an obstacle. I will work to cut unnecessary red tape, streamline permitting, attract new investment and good-paying jobs, and help our existing businesses grow and succeed. By encouraging responsible economic development while protecting Atascadero’s character, we can strengthen our tax base and fund quality city services without placing additional burdens on residents.
